Speaker Bios
Göran Näslund manages global business development for the utility sector within Vodafone M2M, a key component of Vodafone's overall machine-to-machine strategy. His focus includes providing managed communications to support Smart Metering implementations and the various applications that form the Smart Grid.
Göran started his career in 1986 and has held sales, business development and management positions in a number of ICT companies. He started to work in the Telecom sector in 2002, helping companies and organisations reshape and develop their business using mobile technology. In these roles, he was active in the Scandinavian market, where Smart Meters were mandated early last decade. He has been involved in Smart Metering implementations numbering some 4 million metering points.
Olivier Beaujard, Vice-President Market Development for Sierra Wireless has more than 16 years' experience in the wireless industry and machine to machine markets.
Mr. Beaujard joined Sierra Wireless in 2009. Prior to joining Sierra Wireless Mr. Beaujard was with Wavecom where he was in charge of Product Marketing. He has held several marketing positions such as Marketing Director, Corporate Business Development Director, Vice-President Marketing and Vice-President of Business Development. Mr. Beaujard was also involved in selling value-added service platforms to mobile operators at FERMA. Mr. Beaujard graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG - ENSERG) with an electronics and telecommunications engineer diploma. He also holds an MBA from ESSEC business school.
